I'd like to go with an OCI of 7500 in my daughter's 05 Toyota Highlander 3.3l since she lives a good distance from my home. The vehicle mileage is 130k and has no problems. Her driving is 50/50 city/hwy. Would M1 and a Pureone handle a 7500 OCI?

I have basically the same motor, the 3MZ-FE. Personally I would not go more than 5,000 miles on any oil in that thing. However, your going to have fellow bitoger`s that will say otherwise, I`m sure.

Things to consider

How many miles a year? If its under 15k you should consider a winter summer schedule. Or at least in your area fresh oil for the hottest months. If your switching from conventional oil to M1 the first OCI needs to be short, say 4-5k. Some sludge and varnish may loosen up initially. Then increase second OCI to 7500, perform a UOA at change. Its really the only way to know for sure. Assume she will be checking her oil during the interval, at 130k should be consuming some oil. Determining the consumption is helpful deciding the length of an OCI. The more it consumes, the farther you can go, because your replenishing with fresh oil. Recommend a longer OCI filter like a M1 or a Fram XG (Xtended Guard). BTW at 130k M1 High Mileage may be a good idea to condition seals, etc. ready available in 5 qt jugs at walmart.

I second the 7,500 OCI with M1 "EP". Not so sure about the regular M1.

I have been doing 10K OCIs with M1 oils since 1978 with stellar results in all sorts of conditions in all kinds of engines.

It really like`s the Ultra 5W30. However, the Mobil-1 0W30 AFE runs very good in it too.
