Best Inline-6 ever made?

The bottom ends will cop anything, but head work is absolutely necessary if you are venturing beyond stock outputs though. I've seen and heard of a few cases of the heads lifting from the block after a spirited sesh! This is the reason my brother in law wouldn't take his XR6T to the skids cause he'd also seen it too many times on budget builds haha
Anything 2007+ is fine. A lot of them getting around now with no issues. Really only need to do valve springs. Head studs are just insurance you can get away without them with a good tune. Built Barra motors are pushing 1500HP at the crank with no issues.
 
Surprised no mention of the AMC 232/258.
I know the Jeep 4.0L is descended from this, but no one had fond memories of a 6cyl AMC?
