Anyone like anchovies and kipper snacks?

I used to like sardines in mustard sauce when I was a teen. I occasionally eat Sardines today as a treat, if my wife it out of the house as she cannot stomach the smell of canned fish (ex Tuna).

I use anchovies paste as an enhancer in some Italian dishes.
 
I enjoy kipper snacks , herring etc. tried anchovies last night: no thanks 🤮🤮

I know some folks here like either or maybe both
Well first of all how did you eat the anchovies?

They are great on pizza for example, or a little in a prepared dish. No one just eats an anchovy or two

I love pretty much all little fishes and such, but avoid the China stuff

There is a wonderful, real local restaurant here on the Cape, the Silver Lounge Restaurant, that offers soft anchovy butter with their hot rolls with dinner. Fantastic, but seems sort of a binary choice; love it or you just cannot stomach the thought.
 
A big hit here, but the wife leaves the house when I open a can. Here are some canned in Canada. I’m going to pick up a jar of herring tidbits. Thanks for the reminder.
