any solid proof mmo works in motors?

That oil filter is very dirty. There is no question that cleaning is taking place. So MMO definitely seems to have cleaned some in that engine.

On the other hand some people who used Auto-RX displayed oil filters that were very dirty as well.

I've cut them with a hack saw, not the best way, but it gets them open. A Dremil tool will work too.

I wish Gary still had the pics from this post!

..but I do..

Terry Dyson doesn't manufacture or sell anything. Oil analysis is his hobby and he's the best there is. I'll let him know that he's now in the manufacturing business, he sure will have a good laugh!

Mostly it smells good. It hasnt killed anything yet. I rebuild less carburators on my OPE since I started using it in their gas tanks. They seem to start easier too. Every so often. I'll add some to a tank of gas, and I will add a pint to the oil for a 1000 miles or so in my cars. Hasn't killed them either

Gary Allen..those pics of the piston tops and engine...is that from using a quart of MMo inplace of a quart of oil? Over how many miles and what filter did you use?

I don't think so. Gary will clarify but I think it was used in the fuel at a level well above the recommended dosage. Not really relevant to this thread but neat pics none the less.

+1 I think Gary ran a very strong dose of MMO in the gas, and might have even mixed ATF into the brew IIRC. Those might be "after shots". I'm sure he'll fill in the missing info.

Hmmi see. if gary is around! IDe like to know! i mean, youde think in the gas, the piston tops would be clean, but not the rest of the engine, hence forth, wondering if he used it in the oil, gas or both?

I would think he used MMO in the gas only. In one of the pictures he makes ref to "A-Rx on the lube side" so I'm thinking he used A-Rx in the oil.

I gently reminded Gary that we are waiting for his clarification here but unfortunately he is tied up there being a mod :-)

Well, since you asked...

The pistons and combustion chambers were after a massive dose of MMO and ATF to the fuel.a The dose rate as so high that it left a mild fog when driving. The plugs and valve backs had a decent soft soot on them, but as you can see there are no deposits.

The top side of the head is what Auto-Rx did ..and it is aluminum

Gary thank you! that is awesome!
gary, would you persoanlly, use a quart of MMO in place of oil in a car? Think in doing so, it owuld clean an egine up, including varnish stains so well?

FWIW, I’ve been using MMO on and off for years along with other products like Auto-Rx and Lube Control LC20. I find MMO giving the quickest response when used in the fuel system- an almost immediate smoothing of the engine.

I also add it to my crankcase about 500 miles before the oil change. The first time I tried this, the oil was A LOT more black when I did the regular oil change. Same thing with my Dad’s (RIP) Odyssey (he also did his own changes). He too noticed how much darker his oil came out.

I’d guess that the MMO has a capacity to hold the dirt particles in in suspension in the oil which allows them to flush out rather than stick to where ever they were prior to adding the MMO.

Great stuff that I will continue to use.

Whay did Terry say or is it a secret?
