Walmart had no 0w-20 oils in stock (terribly managed auto oil area).

Advance Auto had Edge and M1 0w-20 products. I'd like to try PP but it's never anywhere on a store shelf. It's much easier to sell it to the public if it was actually on the shelf.

Does Castrol Edge possess any advantages over M1 in this viscosity? I ended up purchasing 5qts with filter 'special' of M1. Edge is $5.99/qt this month, not a great deal, but not terrible these days either.

I have been running Edge, however it is in the 5w-30 flavor with zero problems... I get around 13K out of a Edge OCI, and think it's superior to M1 in just my thinking, and noise level my engine makes. I have stated many times how much less start up noise I get with Edge, and overall it seems like a top tier oil !!

That said I'm not loyal to ay of the brands, I purchased my limit on the M1 5w-20 EP from AdvancedAuto because it was cheap enough !! If they had the same viscosity at the same price I would have chosen Edge hands down.

Run your Edge without worry, it;s a great oil, one of the best off the shelf oil/tiers you can purchase !!

I'll be going with M1 0-20 this OC coming up. Will go 10K OCI as I have always done with M1. Also the 5-20-30EP is outstanding for the very long haul. Quite and clean engines will be your benefit.

Mine too! I tried M1 0w20, Amsoil ASM 0w20 and Edge 0W20. I'll be sticking with the Edge!

I'd be nice for you guy's that run edge to UOA your O change,i'd be nice to see more on this oil to get a good pattern on different vehicles.

i do think it's a performer, just not allot on it.

Cant speak of PP, but imo Edge 5w20 is an amazing oil! The 0w20 M1 is good too, but id prolly opt for the edge

I prefer 0W-20 Valvoline Synpower. My car didn't like Mobil 1 0W-20. There was some burn off at 3,000 miles, which doesn't happen to my 2007 Camry Hybrid with other oil.

Non-M1 LOUD Ingredients.

The only other oil ive heard of quieting an engine down that much is RP.

PP is nice and all but for this id not to Edge.

I give the nod to EDGE 0w20, first oil (and I've used all mentioned M1EP, PP, PU, M1) that quieted down my Civic. I was reluctant to buy it because of BP's...I'll leave that for another post. All I know it isn't a placebo effect. I wanted to hate BP's products, and never had used them very suprized at the quality.
