Who's still driving a stick shift daily?

I wouldn't be caught dead in an automatic, unless it is my hearse...

Other than my parents cars (1976 Buick Century & 1982 Buick LeSabre) which I drove while still living at their home, I've only driven manual transmission cars

My 2007 Honda Civic Si currently at 180K is my daily driver. I shift at/near the 8,300 RPM cut off on a daily basis :)

My next car will probably be a 2024 or 2025 Integra Type S, though I'll surely miss shifting at over 8,000

Since 1972 I've only owned manual transmission vehicles, all but one purchased new. I've had seven cars and three p/u trucks. I'm currently driving the lone survivor, a 1996 Ford Contour, my "poor mans" BMW ;). Even after having two total knee replacements I still love driving the Contour. Though luckily with my current work I don't have a regular commute, because the roads in NJ are packed during normal commuting hours.

3 of 5 vehicles are manuals (+ the Moto Guzzi, of course): '99 Camry 5mt, '17 Mazda6 6mt, '79 VW van 4mt. Manual in the Camry is best, VW 2nd best, Mazda6 mt is ok.

I need an MT to be entertained. Camry has a face-plate-removal radio. It's off, most of the time...

I was till I started working 30 miles away and have about a 10 mile commute through town that’s when I needed an automatic. Still got my manuals just don’t drive them near as much as I did before. My truck hardly ever gets driven anymore and I just haven’t gotten the Beetle running yet lol. I try to keep as many miles off the truck as possible so it holds value only 110,000 almost 111,000 on a 1989.

i ONLY buy + drive ALL manuals, but must confess to owning a few "classics" with conventional slushboxes!! NEVER will i have a CVT or SPARKY- electric vehicle!!!

My 2019 Kia Soul is 6 speed manual. I love manuals, but If I had a do over I would have bought an automatic. Most of my cars have been manual transmission, but this clutch is the most vague and annoying clutch I’ve ever driven. I’m beginning to wonder if the original owner didn’t know how to drive it and messed it up somehow. Maybe I should just delete that clutch delay valve thing and see if that helps. Ahhhhhh it’s so frustrating sometimes it feels like it’s my first time driving manual. Smooth 1-2 shifts are nearly impossible. Then I start overthinking things and make it worse. On top of that I just got a new pair of shoes so now everything feels different 😵‍💫😵‍💫
