There are numerous topics (hundreds, literally) about that topic. European manufacturers have far more stringent standards for oils. They have approvals, basically telling customer you need for example MB229.5 in your MB, get oil that is approved for that specification.
Due to demands of European engines, usually with high power density, very high internal temperatures to lower consumption and extract more power, longer OCI etc. Also, oils that are recommended have higher HTHS, which is what actually matters. those approvals are very demanding.
Take into consideration that in Europe they rarely sell HM oils. I personally never seen it. And those taxi MB’s still rack up million miles.
In European section you have all you need to know and more.
If HPL Premium Plus were not available then Mobil1 EP would be my next choice. Just a humorous twist on your question...
for 5w30 I'd look at Castrol 5w30 Euro Car or Valvoline Restore and Protect.

What different between these 2 ? So pretty much all American vehicles can run these type of oil as long it same viscosity ?

ESP is low SAPS oil. The sulfated ash and phosphorus byproduct will be similar to the ILSAC oils you use.
However, ESP will have higher ZDDP, better viscosity retention etc. ESP is designed for both gas and diesel with DPF.
Lower one, or M1 5W30 FS, is Full SAPS oil. It is OK to use in engines without DPF (particulate filters). Both are really good, but M1 5W30 FS is much harder to find.
Another difference between these Euro oils and ILSAC is HTHS. These oils have minimum HTHS of 3.5, which is actually what matters. They are also called "thick" W30 oils and KV100 is almost borderline W40.
Ah man, what I got myself into lol. Now I’m curious and overwhelming, i did went to EU oil section for the first time. Some say castrol EU is better then Mobil 1. I did a search and castrol seem more easy find at Walmart then Mobil 1
Just an FYI because you may not know, but if you're looking for motor oil on walmart.com or the app, just remove the car. Walmart won't show you any oils that aren't spec'd for your vehicle. So all the 40 weight oils won't show up for example.

I actually moved from M1 EP to VRP. I keep stock of both as well as PUP and would have no issue going back and forth between any, although VRP is still my primary choice.
Hard to find oil for sure, I had to go couple different Walmart .
New M1 filter? Check where it’s made.

Yea it’s new one . I had my eyes on it for a while . Inside have round hole and plastic wrap. I still see some have Louvers
Perfect. You’re good to go with one of the best combos we see today.
I still don’t understand the EU yet but y’all got me convince in it. My first EU oil on American cars lol
