What grade of HPL oil are you using?

over 30 fleet trucks and counting: PCEO 5w-30.

1 qt of regular PCMO 5W-30 per OCI in 3 vehicles after using EC30 in them. My own more robust then EC30 for continued use in vehicles getting 5k OCI's. Trying to keep budgets while adjusting for very short trip vehicles.

1 D&F of HPL Blue in daughters CRV. Next D&F will get the same.

@Bill7 - your question of 4 OCI's with VRP would apply to regular HPL oil also since it has more cleaning ability than 1qt of EC30. If you did 4 OCI's of full fill of HPL PCMO and pulled valve cover, how would it look?

I just did the VCG in my sons Forte. It was leaking lightly prior to any HPL use. Known issue and covered on forums/videos with the added spark plug tube issues. I caught his before any shorting issues, one tube was 3/4 full of oil. The gasket was so hard around them it cracked apart trying to remove from groove. No issues noted 40k ago when I did plugs but it did have slight seep at rear back then.

Whether from the 2 year ago BG EPR, the recent 3x rounds of HPL EC30 or the qt of HPL PCMO or just good OCI's with good oil along the way, his motor is very clean with no varnish stains.

Isn't their Engine Cleaner supposed to only be used for 60 days per their instruction? See a lot of people here using it for entire OCIs.

I've been using HPL Premium 0W-20 in our CX-90 the last 2 OCIs. I used the standard HPL 5W-30 at 865 for the "break in oil change". I plan to do a UOA at the next OCI following the one coming up this next week to see where things are at.

it really depends on how dirty your engine is. at work i am running it a full 6k mile interval and have yet to have a super loaded filter.

Upon a recommendation here by a couple trustworthy HPL users, I'm moving downward from the Performance Plus to the HPL entry-level, Group 3 PCMO next time (12pk in 10w30)

I'll probably match that and do the exact same M.O. with entry-level Amsoil Full Syn also.
Both brand names bear elite oils, no matter which label we get.

I use the "basic" 5w-30 HPL in my Lexus and MX-5.
I intend to run 20k miles and then UOA and see how things are doing.

When I finish my 1uzfe swap into my Malibu it will get it after the first initial run on likely supertech just to make sure everything is happy before putting in the good good. Same with my 96 Tercel sedan with a 1nzfe swap.
