What are you eating right now?

What does that even look like?
Basically it's tomato chicken and vegetable soup seasoned with Indian spices. This is the recipe I use. The only thing I do a little bit different is cut the cooking time back by about 1/2 and omit the chopped apple. I'll turn heat off and let it sit for about an hour before splitting it into 2-3 portions. I'll add some chopped apple when I re-heat a portion on the stove.

Gonna try that. It's been a mention in many books since I was a kid. Obviously never had!

Not sure what I just read other than avoid Waffle House
Should have ordered the chicken biscuit. Burgers can be done better most anywhere, but the chicken biscuit is decent.

Hash browns with ham, cheese, jalapenos, mushrooms, and onions, topped with heinz 57 is a great road trip breakfast.

I dont think youd get that where I was at last night for dinner (with the pickle bar)...
Ha. Well I wasn't sure. There's a lot of crossover with German cuisine and with you being in the NYC Metro area I always felt a menorah could just have easily been for some of the customers rather than the owners of the establishment. It's a little different in the south where pork consumption and a menorah sometimes coexist.

Bolognese-style sauce: I just finished up this pasta sauce after cooking for several hours. It's not a true Bolognese because the ingredients are not traditional, but I did use conventional cooking techniques to give me a "California Bolognese," lower in fat and punched up with some herbs and spices not used in an authentic ragu.

The top jar will be stored in the fridge for a few days and the bottom container will be used for dinner tonight mixed with pappardelle pasta.

After the earlier incident with the sausage, I decided to get out of harm's way by grabbing two burgers at a newish Super Duper location. Small corner place. Super Duper doesn't have the best buns but their meat is top-notch.

One Double Double (double patty, double cheese) and one Double (double patty, no cheese).
