Ex-wife just texted and is bringing a plate of leftover food back, along with our Son. They had a delayed Thanksgiving in St Joseph, MO today with her family. That family always has good food. Looking forward to a REAL meal again, instead of that TV dinner crap.

Best Ex-wife I ever had. She comes highly recommended! :p
Maybe she can take some food pictures for you!

Breakfast quesadilla with two types of cheese, eggs, ham and then the salsa and sour cream on the side as it lists on the menu. Very good. It’s actually the only thing I’ll eat at this restaurant as the rest of the food just isn’t for me here. It’s called The Famous Toastery. I think it’s a chain. This is the only good thing on the menu besides the alcohol.

Follow but not perfectly

I’ve lost 12 pounds

My blood sugar is controlled but it’s a battle. Yet stupid stuff like a batch of failed test strips reading 50-60+ high both discourages me and relieves me. For sure this whole journey better than food pyramid, vegan or ADA.

I have a ton more energy for sure

And FTR most "keto" products in 2023 are a complete joke. Pretend to not have much sugar/starch...........but one bite and out of keto state and blood sugar takes off - maybe later, but BG will go up. A delayed spike is still a spike!
 
Lunch bowl. Three small gold potatoes, onions, one beef sausage, eggs, and tomatoes. Spiced with salt, pepper, rosemary, and shichimi chili spice mix that contains chili pepper, sansho pepper, various seeds, ginger, citrus peel, and nori. Keto-foods and keto diet have almost nothing to do with each other. Keto foods are a marketing ploy. People think they can munch keto snacks and lose weight. You can eat keto food, but within the allotted eating period and as long as you don't exceed your caloric target, which is a caloric deficit if you are trying to lose weight. I see morbidly obese people buying keto ice cream and keto protein bars. "How's that working for ya, lady?"

A sad joke as I pointed out above.

Your other good point, yes I eat less calories. Even though I do eat a bit more fat. I really try to eat all my food for the day between 11AM and 4-5PM. Then that's it for the day. I flex a little if I have some type of exercise earlier.
