The bacon is the real deal. $6.99 USD. Best deal in Hawaii, fantastic in every way. Dip the bacon in the house steak sauce.

Waikiki is full of extremely expensive restaurants, or very high priced trashed food. I blow my budget in Waikiki, I just can't handle the very pricey not so edible fast food.

I could drive to a reasonable priced place, but worked all day, jet lagged, and going five miles out of Waikiki is work in itself.

Nice.

We live in the back woods on the big island, Hilo side. SIL (Honolulu) and BIL live on Oahu. Expensive.

We cook our own whenever possible, in Italy we cook our own - well pretty much like at home - but dang you're on the road too much and of course can't cook.

The sweet neighbor lady brought enchiladas over today. Bless her heart.

Guess the County found funding for the Health Dept. to remain open another year, at the meeting this morning. Hopefully, my raising a stink about it helped in some way. I placed objections about it closing with all the news channels and on Facebook. Emailed all the County Supervisors as well. Got an email from the local newspaper today. Says there will be an article about it in the paper tomorrow.
Tried my best to be that noisy joint that needed greased. County Supervisor emailed that she did her best and we won for another year.
Got messages from all the County Workers, thanking me for helping keep their jobs. That alone, made my day brighter.
