Yes I thought I was going to get in there and flub up because I always get so nervous. But once I was in there I basically thought to myself well what do I have to lose they can’t afford to fire me or have me quit lol. And I guess I was right.
Nice. I've never worked up the nerve to ask, although most of my career I didn't think too much about pay (I showed up and did my thing, and went home).

This many, as often as it happens, I think it's either some mental issue in dire need of treatment or he's a paid saboteur by a competitor.
Think the dealership should make his last day today, and dock his pay to cover damages done.
Yeah I agree. They got a huge fee a few weeks ago for the car he blew up that made it to Washington DC and DC doesn’t mess around when there is oil on their road. They also had to pay the state of Tennessee and the town of Dandridge Tennessee for the one he had the drain plug come out of there for clean up and environmental. He had to pay for one of them I can’t remember which one it was I think it was Tennessee. This is also about the 7th one he has blown up on this interstate from today too and had a couple that made it to West Virginia and North Carolina. Bottom line is he should have been fired months ago. Multiple people have tried working with him and training him to no avail. The vehicle in question today is a very expensive 2024 Toyota Tundra so it’s toast.
That's some crazy stuff going on. Is this guy related to the dealership owner or something? If I was his boss, he would have been gone the first time he caused an engine to blow-up.
Not that I know of. Thank god his last day is Friday. He is going to work for the local county doing manual labor. I’ve made my mistakes and I’ve even left a drain plug loose before but it’s something you do it one time and then you never let it happen again. But I’ve never seen anyone like this before. His partner got fired then hired back a few years ago. They fired him after 10 blow ups. This has got to be at least 18 for this guy.

The Toyota dealership that serviced my mom's car since it was brand new stripped out the oil pan drain plug. It was leaking oil all over the driveway. They said she would have to pay to have a new oil pan installed. I called the dealership and talked to the service manager and said NO she will not be paying for it ... the dealership WILL be paying for it. The "tech" caused the problem, not my mom. They put a new oil pan on and didn't charge my mom. I was not letting them get away with non-sense like that. I told them if the drain plug would have come out, it could worse case cause the engine to seize up and cause her to lose control and get in a deadly car wreck. Dealerships need to ensure even the guys who do simple stuff like oil and filter changes know what they are doing, or get fired instantly over incompetence.
