Iones Dry Food for Cats? What Do You Use?

Another brand that offers grain-free food is Wellness, available at Petco, Petsmart, Petsupplies Plus. Wellness Core is the name, available in regular and indoor formulas, with the indoor having less fat. Core is also available in canned, again with no grain and a lot of meat to better reflect the cat's natural diet.

My 16 year old cat eats Core canned and dry. She's on heart and thyroid piils and seems to do well on this diet. Prior to this she ate the cheaper food but the vet says to keep up what we're doing now as her heart and thyroid numbers have come back down to normal.

Hmm, just think how frisky and shiny our coats would be if we went grain-free as well.

Clio has lasted 21 yrs on Meow Mix. She is a petite 5 pounds, 11 ounces. Deaf as a stone and very haughty in demeanor. She is getting frail , but has earned her ease. I keep her coat shiny by patting her.

So I was wondering what all you cat lovers on here use for your dry food..My cat has never had wet food..Not sure if I want to start giving him wet food now but I am open to all suggestions..He really likes his Meow Mix.

If you are wondering why I put up with the Nazi Condo Commandos [with their millions of dumb rules] is because my sick elderly mom [who has a million health issues] lives nearby in the same complex so it easier for me to keep a close on her on a daily basis..If anything happens to her I plan on moving immediately.

BTW my sister put her 2 cats on Iones Dry Food the same time I put mine on it and they also had the same reaction.

definitely get him off the meow mix. our cats would vomit it up growing up. if our russian blue did not have uti problems, we would feed much better but it costs so much for even marginal uti formula.

anyways, i recommend taste of the wild or chicken soup cat lovers soul formula. tractor supply carries totw 15lb bags for $24 and our cata coats had never been shinier. we hac to get off of it because of the uti but i highly HiGHLY recommend it. aleays make sure the first five ingredients contain both meat, meat meal, and rice. NOT by-product meal as that ks basically feathers talons and bones. lots of other good recommendations here but those can get pricey. stick to totw or chix soup

recently ran low of our supply of Blue Buffalo we had been using for a "treat" food, went to Tractor Supply, Where we bought the Blue, and decided to give Taste of the wild a try($1 cheaper!) she seems to like it @least as well as the blue.
My Older brother tried both himself( he's odd like that... "If i don't like it, she probably won't either")
he said the TOTW tasted better than the Blue. He Said it(TOTW) could be "Bachelor Chow"...
