The neighbor sold his house to someone who fixes them up and flips them. He paid me to do some work and actually paid me some for the next time. Never gave me his contact info or complete name. lol Well it looks like the house is under contract now and I'd like to just give him the money he gave me for next time back to him. Looked up the listing online and I guess when I called it only put me in touch with a buyers agent and they weren't too helpful with getting me in touch with the listing agent (realtors) It's a very small amount of money, that I doubt he will care about once the house sells, but I don't like to owe people money. I would see him a few times a week when he was fixing the house up, but since he's done fixing it and it's on the market, he doesn't come around anymore. Opinions? We're talking like $30 bucks here so I wonder if the dude even cares.

$30 ? And you even made a post about it on top of the other effort you've put forth.... 🙄

Buy a half rack of beer with the thirty bucks and be the welcome wagon when the new neighbors show up.

Lol. I mean how dumb can you get? Who doesn't want to exchange contact info? Seems sketchy doesn't it? I mean I didn't ask, but I kind of got the impression he didn't want to.

The online listing gets a kickback for referring you to a buyers agent- they will not forward your information to the Selling/ listing agent.

In the listing will be the name of the listing agent and the broker he works for. Google the listing agent name and brokerage, and you will have a good point of contact for the listing agent.

Are you saying, don't worry about it then?
Yes, you did nothing wrong. If I did this, I wouldn't give an ounce of effort in tracking him down to give back the money, but if he returned, I would return it. I'm just making any extra effort on my part 'cause I didn't do anything wrong.

Go to the town hall and look up the deed for who owns it. Write them a check and send it to the last known address. If they don't cash it, it's your money, guilt free.
