What are you doing right now?

Lol. They got to get going I’m trying to grill these up quickly. They have to be in a different part of the state that’s 4 hours away by 5pm for dad’s high school reunion. I could have went but I don’t want to hang out a bunch of old guys that I don’t know lol 😂. I’m going to stay here and grill me a steak drink beer and a watch baseball.
I can't believe the Mariner's finally came to life after losing like 192 games in a row. From 5 runs down, tied in the 8th walk off in the 10th to beat the Giants.

New manager Dan Wilson (former catcher and radio commentator), hitting coach Edgar Martinez, best ever DH - first game. No secret M's hitting stinks the joint up. You've heard of timely hitting? Mariners have untimely no hitting!

I think we beat them this year haha. Honestly the firing of Scott Servais came as a surprise to me. They might just make it to the playoffs this year if they can keep the Astros away. At least they aren’t as bad as the White Sox are this year. My coworker is a Mariners fan so I hear all the time from him too. Actually nice to keep up with a team that I’d normally forget about lol. Imagine a Mariners go to the World Series I actually wouldn’t mind seeing that.

I’m drinking Mtn Dew and watching the movie Swimming Pool (2003) on DVD on my tv in my room. Going to grill my steak and teriyaki mushrooms around 5 or 5:30. I went to the gas station and got me a Modelo Especial or however you spell it. Never tried it so excited to try that out.

Eating my McDonald’s burgers plain with only pickles and cheese just how I like them and drinking Mtn Dew and watching baseball. Best life ever lol. Baseball is a dying game unfortunately. At least I actually got to sit down and watch the game tonight. Dad just got home from work a few minutes ago with my McDonald’s and his and mom’s Wendy’s food. Mad my plans for Chinese had to be moved till tomorrow because I won’t call in an order nor will I drive there lol but oh well.

Sagging door on the Shadow resolved today. Replaced the top pin and bushings, and wondering now if it's necessary to replace the bottom since the door is shutting normally and is aligned. If it needs to happen, it's going to have to be a different day, because it's hot out there today. 🥵

Cooling off after a bike ride—so I can then gear up and run the weedwacker. Then pizza and a movie. Earlier I was contemplating reducing my retirement savings rate so as to put money elsewhere; also started to add into my spreadsheet RMD calculations. All the fun stuff. :ROFLMAO:

I’m just trying to get my friend off FaceTime so I can get a shower lol. He talks and talks and talks lol. But it’s good to have friends. I want to be able to relax and watch some tv before bed. I never get a chance to just sit down for a few hours and relax like I really want to. I also hate phone calls but I’m nice enough to talk to friends and family.

Working. It’s going to be done soon lol. Almost 5:30. Then I can hopefully get some Chinese food and go home and relax and watch baseball and then go out later for sodas.

Need to run out and get hot dog rolls, we somehow ran out and it's getting to be time to fire up the firepit and do dogs & s'mores.

Debating if I have a couple more years left in me or if I should pull the plug and early retire.

Right now (after my work day is supposed to be over) I'm baby-sitting a team member who, after 4 years, still doesn't know his stuff so the latter is getting more and more appealing.

Bummer. Have you talked to your manager about it? the coworker that is, I'm not sure I'd let my thoughts about retirement out of the bag.

Management is aware of the issue, and that's probably all I should say.

I wanted to ask HR how much I'd have to kick in for retiree coverage until Medicare kicks in (I know I get a percentage off, but I don't know off of what), but I don't want to plant the idea that I'm looking to exit until I know for sure. I dodged a voluntary buyout a couple of years ago but since it appears I'm on the radar, I don't want to give away my position just yet.

Fair enough. Last round of VSIP's took out a few friends at work--but it was to their advantage. Best to suck it up if you're ok with the job otherwise---but it never hurts to keep an eye on the market.
