Valvoline Restore & Protect

This was the day I changed the oil

Looks like a bunch of stuff in there to clean and it's doing something already. I'd definitely change filter at about 2k (like HPL recommends with the EC30). I might let the oil go longer but if 3k keeps you happy, do it. Next run I'd probably go longer but still change filter sooner until you feel confident in what's not coming loose.

I just changed the oil in my new to me 2019 Silverado Custom 4.3 DI with 69,000 miles. Previous owner kept let’s say sketchy records so hopefully this new Valvoline 5w30 RP oil will do some cleaning if needed. Used a AC/ Delco PF 63 filter and I’m planning on 5,000 mile OCI with no filter changing mid run or filter autopsies after each change. I know…..it sounds crazy 😜!

we have two of these in the fleet and they are sweet trucks. that little V6 moves the truck along easily. one of our operators has average 21.5 MPG over this last OCI according to the dash.

I’d say if your already using a high quality synthetic oil. This Valvoline oil shouldn’t make any difference in your engine. My borescope after 108K miles looks brand new

its generally a good idea to run a injector/fuel treatment cleaner of good quality in the fuel system to help the combustion side of the engine stay clean and or use top tier gasoline...of course Valvoline restore and protect may and can help the situation of related engine deposits.

After careful thinking, I say this Alot during my time here since 2008, I say again, I found myself over thinking with all these new oil and new product last couple days. Imma just stick with the basic. And not thinking too much. Stick with name brand oil and filter is all I ever need. And change it on time. Back being inactive again .
