Valvoline Restore & Protect

^^^ "Piston slap" is caused by excessive piston skirt to cylinder clearance when the engine is cold ... it's not anything directly oil related. If his rings are actually stuck, then the engine should be showing some obvious signs of oil consumption/burning. If more of his use and investigation of oil consumption keeps improving with Valvoline R&P, then it would seem to be working on the ring pack.

This thread is fascinating, always impressed by the amount of knowledge on this board.
I've looked at it once more (this past Sunday/ the 26th). Looked like minor changes but still changes.

The blurry ish pic is from 5/11 and the clear is from 5/26.

That area under the fill cap doesn't get much if any direct oil splash contact. I'd try to get clear photos along the way of the area down below the fill cap level.
