First, I'm not advocating the combination...but I happen to have a bottle of MOS2 and a few jugs of Valvoline Restore and Protect.
Is there anyone knowledgeable on the Valvoline Restore and Protect formulation properties that could support/defend upping the moly (in an oil that concurrently breaks-down varnish)?
No need to up the moly. Valvoline Restore and Protect already has 200 ppm moly. Thats plenty. And that formula produces very low wear numbers. Dont mess with the formula. Its really good as is.
These additive/oil companies spend lots of money on developing add packs then you have people wanting to throw more stuff in the bottle. Not recommended.
