What can Valvoline do to top Restore and Protect?

I think you got your wires crossed a bit here.

@GW. was talking about "long term" use of Valvoline Restore and Protect in Euro engines. Like 5k OCIs for multiple years. As in, will there be any long term effects to Euro engines which spec Euro oils with HTHS >3.5 (among other things) when they run Valvoline Restore and Protect (API spec oil) for the long term — not "long OCI."
Well then they might also be able to run 8K-10K OCIs to achieve that "long term" usage, lol. We pretty much know what happens when Valvoline Restore and Protect is used long term from all the feedback from such users.

Maybe. That would be extra adventurous in a Euro engine.
What's really so special about Euro engines ... see post 197. Maybe "adventurous" if ran flat out on the Autobahn for miles ... then that's a matter of oil temperatures and HTHS.

I’m not gonna scroll back to find a post number, especially if I have to change pages. If you went back to find the post you could have just copied and pasted the link to it to save everyone the trouble. Every post has a unique link which you can get by clicking the universal share icon.

LoL ... it's one page back, posted today ... you probably already read it. ;)

Since Valvoline Restore and Protect has been their game changer, where does Valvoline go from here?

Not sure if they can top it
Guess they don't need to
It's officially on the Valvoline website.

Now that we're seeing a Euro Valvoline Restore and Protect, ATF Valvoline Restore and Protect, and 4-stroke Valvoline Restore and Protect, it's clear this additive breakthrough can be used across multiple lubricant products and offer a benefit.

My question originally was whether it would be limited to ILSAC/GF oils. They're not opting for full approval for dexos/Euro specs to keep their additive from exposure. They also already have a dexos approved oil and European approved oil.

Why do they need to "Top it?"
All they need to do is properly market it for maximum sales.
