I think you got your wires crossed a bit here.

@GW. was talking about "long term" use of VRP in Euro engines. Like 5k OCIs for multiple years. As in, will there be any long term effects to Euro engines which spec Euro oils with HTHS >3.5 (among other things) when they run VRP (API spec oil) for the long term — not "long OCI."

Well then they might also be able to run 8K-10K OCIs to achieve that "long term" usage, lol. We pretty much know what happens when VRP is used long term from all the feedback from such users.

What's really so special about Euro engines ... see post 197. Maybe "adventurous" if ran flat out on the Autobahn for miles ... then that's a matter of oil temperatures and HTHS.
