Valvoline Restore and Protect on sale?

Ibotta offered $2.50 off a five quart jug of Valvoline late last year.

Also Valvoline will sometimes offer a discount on their own site.

You'll usually see it on the Rebates & Promotions forum at BITOG.

Finally there is one rebate with O'Reilly. If you pay $37.99 for a 5 quart bottle you get a free Wix and a $15 gift card.

Honestly, with Advance Auto Parts and Rockauto nearly giving filters away that isn't a big deal. You can get Valvoline Restore and Protect for $29.97 without a rollback and then just buy a few filters without the hassle of a gift card.

The only time I find O'Reilly has competitive prices is when they sell PEAK coolant for cheap once a year.

Yep, just bought a bunch of Fram filter for $1.50 and $2.50 didn't get an Endurance's for $4 but the others will do fine.

O’Reillys near me will price match Walmart.

They are a bit tricky. They won't match prices if you buy an oil bundle.

I found that out earlier today when they priced their basic Wix oil filter at $20 which automatically added an extra $5 to their current $37.99 'special' for one jug of Valvoline Restore and Protect and a jobber filter.

Walmart offered the same exact filter for only $3.84. They wouldn't match it, and their so-called oil bundle dealer was actually about $9 higher than Walmart. The same game is played if you buy brakes and rotors.

Didn’t run into this at mine. Makes me wonder if some are franchise stores (like many Napa) that are more willing to work with customers

Amazon price history. Got a 5qt jug at $29.97

At the Walmart stores around me (Chucagoland), Valvoline Restore and Protect is always this same price for at least the last 6 months. I've never seen it higher than $30 before taxes. It's just a few bucks over the rest of the oils.

No… all O’Reilly stores are corporate. You just dealt with an incompetent or grumpy person. But remember that the item has to be a stocking item at the local Walmart. If it’s an online only item or has to be shipped to the store it doesn’t count.

Would never of predicted it - our O’R = more turnover than AZ.

I didn’t deal with a grumpy anyone. Guy at O’Reillys was very helpful. You sure the correct post was quoted?

Called O'Reilly customer service this morning. They reaffirmed that O'Reilly doesn't do any matching for oil bundle deals.

Huh. Ok. Guy I dealt with at OR price matched Delo for Walmart price & searched their system for filters they could discount for my application. I turned down the filter as I have a stash for my sons truck but they seem to be able to discount certain filters in inventory.

If you buy 2) 5qt jugs, Walmart pays shipping over $50 (??).

Yep. Getting charged an extra $5 on that so-called 'oil bundle deal' just because O'Reilly has a $20 price tag on a plain-jane Wix filter is .

Walmart has a similar filter for $4 and the same exact filter (which they probably rarely sell) is available for $10.90.

O'Reilly even has a Microgard available for $5.99.

If O'Reilly wants to play shell games with these rebates, I'm not shelling out my cash.
