Not bad for the 5W-30 but 4 bucks for an obsolete 10W-30 syn is nothing special. I'd return the 10W-30.

Is there any way you can explain that to make sense?

Easy.

You are self employed and do not feel like crawling under a car after spending 10hrs a day making sure that all the people who depend on you to get paid get paid.

You rather spend the money to pay someone so that you can spend some time with your family.

But wouldn't you have to wait for the service to be performed possibly a line in front of you just the same amount of time if you do it yourself? Plus if you don't live close by you have to drive there.

I understand not wanting to crawl under a vehicle though, it's not for everyone. I don't enjoy the getting dirty of an oil change but I thoroughly enjoy knowing something is done right and the materials used as a correct.

Nope, I drop it off at my mechanic 7am and pick it up whenever I get a break.

That is just how my life works these days, I buy my own Oil and Filters and the mechanic does the rest.

Thats Awesome. Back in early 2007, I was feeding my Need for Mobil 1 and when however much I was buying that day was rung up at register at ol Wallys, the cost came back as $1.00 a quart! I went back sometimes 2 times a day for at least a week until they caught it and changed the price to what it should have been. I still have recipts, to prove it! Got alot of HIGH Mileage 10w-30, 10w-40, Red Label 15w-50 and SUV 5w-30!

I looked up in that cabinet, and I count 18 quarts 15w-50, 12 quarts SUV 5w-30 and only 7 quarts High Mileage 10w-30. If I remember correct, I gave my nephew a few Changes of the High Mileage back in 2009 when he was visiting. I really NEED to get pics on here. The AMSOIL, You wouldnt Believe. Definately make You do a Double take!

The 15w-50 has the Penske Racing Team logos, its All SM. It All looks so Old! One Oil that dosent Look old to me is GC from back then. The six sided caps give it away, but GC, and other wieghts of Syntec dont look much different 10 years ago than the Syntec of Today, well I guess the word EDGE has been added, SPT technology also..

Did anyone at Walmart say why they were clearing out the Ultra? Is Pennzoil planning on stop making it, or was it just a Walmart thing?

I think its been discussed here before and results were that Pennzoil had no intention of discontinuing Ultra, but Walmart seems to be taking it off the shelves due to slow sale and shelf space is a premium at Walmart.

Some Walmarts still carry it, mine for instance still has jugs of new SN formula available, while others have stopped carrying it all together. You used to be able to site to store Ultra to any Walmart but now i think its in store only.

Basically its still around but its getting harder to find due to the high sales volume of PP winning shelf space.

Both PU & PP. I had to hit multiple stores last week and finally found enough PP for next OC (no PU available). Was like last time.
So thought of maybe giving Kendall w/Ti a try depending how things go. Well I saw no Kendall on the shelves.
