I'm not very worried about that. What I consider their Stealership activity has put a Mazda in my driveway.
20W50 of courseI wonder what oil will be specced for the same engine in the Middle East and other hot climates?
And Toyota does allow for that in Australia and Europe.20W50 of course![]()

That is Diesel feul with an additive package .I’m just waiting for some of that sweet, sweet 0W-0 to come out. It’s gonna be awesome!
What's next, straight 0w?0W-05 is just around the corner. It’s available from certain brands.
Maybe ... Recently, I was made aware of Diamond Like Coatings which allow gearboxes, and maybe other parts, to run without oil. While I recall hearing that they've been used in a racing situation, I don't recall if it was just testing or in actual competition. What's next, straight 0w?
Able to run without oil is one thing. Does it run better?Maybe ... Recently, I was made aware of Diamond Like Coatings which allow gearboxes, and maybe other parts, to run without oil. These coatings have many applications (and come in a variety of designer colors) The "coatings are environmentally friendly and can be used to reduce friction, wear, fretting, galling and corrosion."
I suspect, but do not know, that they are being at least considered for use in an engine. In any case, there is technology out there that will allow us to go in that direction.
Nah probably olive oil with a hint of pepper like at Olive Garden. That is Diesel feul with an additive package .

Toyota, doing everything but trying to actually make fuel efficient engines.
I don’t think other manufacturers are doing any better. My current Fusion with the 1.5T gets worse MPG than the Fusion with the 2.5 NA I had before it. Gaming the EPA ratings seems to be the majority of the manufacturer’s play.Toyota, doing everything but trying to actually make fuel efficient engines.
