One thousand percentYeah I mean I like touch screens to an extent and all the apps and junk but I do not like having every single feature confined to the screen and menus and submenus.
Sacrificing functionality for increased profits is anti-consumer and sacrificing functionality for a e s t h e t i c s is stupid

sharp origami angles isn't a traditional Lexus styling thing. Yes, the current RX, UX, and previous NX have had it, and to a certain degree, the 2nd Gen LS400 had some pronounced edges to it, but it's been mostly safe soft conservative lines, minus the spindle grille when they first introduced it.Terrible.
I’m not a FWD/crossover guy, but I used to think the RX was the best looking crossover out there.
Lexus styling historically has been very “Japanese”, which I like. Sharp, origami-like angles.
Seems like they’re making the styling of this more generic. I don’t like it.

Likes the NX, the new RX took the same basic shape and refined/softened the lines a bit.
Much easier to push a steering wheel button and say, "Set the temp to 70". Or "I'm cold." Or "My butt is hot." Or "Play KGO radio."Functional. All those buttons are functional in today's tech world.
Buttons are good.
I have no desire to talk to my car.Much easier to push a steering wheel button and say, "Set the temp to 70". Or "I'm cold." Or "My butt is hot." Or "Play KGO radio."
Here's a few:
"Open browser/phone/camera/lock settings..."
"Search Google for the weather..."
"Go to tesla.com..."
"Activate sentry mode"
"Increase screen brightness"
"Turn on windshield wipers/increase wiper speed"
"Fold/unfold side mirrors"
"Open charge port" or "Open butthole."
"Lock doors"
"Set the temperature/fan..."
"Turn on the air conditioning/dog mode/camp mode..."
"Make it warmer"
"Set the driver’s seat warmer to..."
"Decrease fan speed..."
"I’m cold"
"Turn on recirculate"
"Go home/to work/to the airport..."
"Navigate to 45500 Fremont Blvd..."
"Take me to the school/the park..."
"Zoom in"
"Turn on satellite mode/traffic..."
"Display Superchargers/Destination Chargers..."
"Stop navigation"
"Mute voice guidance"
"Call home/Franz/Syd…"

Doesn't Mercedes have an interior AI that can do most of that stuff. I think it's on their recently released cars only.Much easier to push a steering wheel button and say, "Set the temp to 70". Or "I'm cold." Or "My butt is hot." Or "Play KGO radio."

My point is, tech is what sets Tesla apart from other cars, regardless of drivetrain. Our 2 Lexi are great cars, don't get me wrong. Having said that, after driving the Tesla, I find the Lexus buttons perhaps confusing and have to somewhat search for what I want.I have no desire to talk to my car.
None.
