That's the reason exactly. Tisas is a world class firearms manufacturer. I have one of their Stainless Steel clones of the Browning Hi-Power, and it's a beautifully crafted pistol. And it functions flawlessly.Because it's made in Turkey?
I still stand behind the one I had. It was a great .45.

Thanks - just bought it. I have a bunch of 1911 tools, but that is one that I do not have. Harrison Design makes great stuff.See Post #199
Everything is about perfection.
This is why the 1911 trigger tuning is art.
U cannot do this on the striker fire Glock.

Nothing like qualifying with a 40+ yo pistol. But we could buy ammo for $5 a box at the Rod & Gun club!I don't have one, ive heard good things about it.
A guy who i met last year showed me a new one, he said he had many 1911's and his new favorites were the Tisas. It was nicely finished, he told me it was 100% FWIW.
For that money i would try it if i was looking.
If you aren't familar with 1911's the one you posted appears to be a GI replica the sights on them are tiny. Depending on your preferences you may wish to go the 20 extra for the one with better (arguably) sights.
That said i actually like the GI sights, but lots of folks don't.
The 1911forum is a great resource and get a digital microscope. You have to be good at working/measuring to 0.001” and friction fitting. Thanks - just bought it. I have a bunch of 1911 tools, but that is one that I do not have. Harrison Design makes great stuff.
I have a Mitutoyo digital caliper in my gun tool cabinet. So useful. I have a Starrett as well, but it’s down at my shop. The 1911forum is a great resource and get a digital microscope. You have to be good at working/measuring to 0.001” and friction fitting.
Yes, one thousandths of inch. More nuanced and disciplined than other hobbies.
Yeah, I bought a 1911 a few years ago. An ATI Firepower Xtreme made in the Philippines. Extremely good fit and finish and shoots great but I regret not upgrading to better than the stock iron sites.I don't have one, ive heard good things about it.

@Cropduster172 not cheap but it a multilayer fiberglass G10 that is highly toxic if sanded. The feel is amazing but it does not make u a better shooter but instead u look amazing at the next Texas Weekend barbecue. Lol.Yeah, I bought a 1911 a few years ago. I replaced the stock grips on my 1911 with wood grips from Thailand... posting said something exotic like canary wood or something...they were $10 and looked pretty much like regular Oak to me. I polyurethaned them and they look great to me.@Cropduster172 not cheap but it a multilayer fiberglass G10 that is highly toxic if sanded.
