This is what I have in my mind right now...will make a definitive decision in the coming 2-3 months...I'm shooting for the 37", hopefully it will come down in price so i can afford it...otherwise it will be the 32"
here it is:
http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/televisions/lcd/product.asp?model=37hl67

so, if anyone owns one of these, or know/heard of any (-)/(+) stuff about this particular line, or know of any professional reviews online (I can't find any)i'd appreciate your feedback...any other suggestions on other major brands/models also welcome.

(i currently own a Toshiba CRT flat screen, and it is amazing in its class, that's what got me started on this Regza line)

In Best Buy over the weekend browsing. Kinda jumped out at wife and I, LG had obviously best pic on display in every size! Had a LG phone sometime back was NOT impressed.

I own a 37" LG LCD, and the only complaint I have is that the blacks could be a little darker. I think this is common with most LCD's though.

Any reason you aren't looking at a plasma?

I don't know anything about LG's (formerly Goldstar) reliability or service.

Reliability and service are worth considering. Such as, what do you have to do to get warranty service if it's a major problem. Will they fix it in your home or do you have to pack it and ship it to them like with some off brands?

Will you be able to get it repaired in your area after the warranty is over? Try calling LG and telling them you have an out of warranty set that needs repair and see what they say you need to do. Some companies it's pretty much ship it to them because they don't supply parts to repair shops.

LG is probably better than that, but it would be a good idea to know for sure. Mr Google is also your friend on this one.

$959 + shipping from NewEgg.com

The Toshiba and Philips were honorable mentions vs the 'big 4' when price is a heavy factor in the purchase.
