Really looking forward to going to the Texas Mile next weekend. It is back in Beeville this year. Anyone else here enjoy going to these types of events??

I've been going to Bonneville and helping out on various LSR efforts, for years. I haven't been to the Texas Mile venue.

I've lost a few friends and acquaintances at such events over the years. RIP Dave, Bill, Sam.

If you're a gearhead, you should enjoy it.

Here's a video of Bill running at the Texas Mile. He set a record on this run. He later ran faster at Loring, running 311.945 mph in 1.5 miles. He crashed and died on a later run trying to exceed 300 mph in 1 mile. The closest he got was 296 mph in 1 mile.
