I've seen dozens of pictures of people wearing these surgical masks and I usually see at least one person in the picture with the mask covering the face and not the nose. A virus usually has a much better chance of surviving in the nose than in the mouth.

Obviously, nobody is telling these people HOW to wear them.

This has got to be the biggest non-event in a long time. The hype on this thing is nuts. The "normal" flu is worse than this is.

I got some N95 face masks just in case... why not? we use them around the house when doing projects, and if fear and/or illness strikes, they may become valuable.

I just saw on the news that the sole surviving American-made surgical mask maker (near Fort Worth) is now working 24 hours a day. The rest of the surgical mask makers are in China and Mexico.

Wonder how many people of the world want to buy a Mexican surgical virus mask right now?

The later part kind of concerns me. I think I am moving to the Galápagos Islands.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be concerned. I'm glad we are acting early. I'm glad we have time for a vaccine prior to the fall wallop.

But if TSHTF for real, this place will be really interesting.
