I've owned many Jeeps. The Fiat designed Wrangler is easily the best of them in every way, and they were all good. The lead designer wasn't Italian, btw. He is an American who owns a built TJ and is a serious off-roader. His boss at the time, Sergio, knew a thing or two about managing an iconic brand (Ferrari). Hat's off to him for letting Mark Allen get it done.I wouldn’t have gotten it but that’s just me. Ever since Chrysler was taken over by Fiat I have become less of a fan. My neighbor has one of these it’s a 2015 model they plan to get rid of it soon because they don’t like it and their grandkids complain it’s uncomfortable. The last Jeep I drove as a rental was severely underpowered and my personal ownership experience of a Jeep has not been positive. But if it’s what you are looking for and wanted that’s totally fine I hope you have better luck. I agree with what Donald said above it’s not highly ranked by them or any mechanic I know.
Fiat didn't do anything to hurt the Grand Cherokee, either. They only made it better. (Trail Hawk, Track Hawk).
