Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

Picked up 2 quarts of HPL Small Engine 5w40 Cold Climate for my 4kW inverter generator. Likely complete @OVERKILL, but I believe strongly in supporting companies that make the best products and give the best customer service!
@SubieRubyRoo, is the small engine oil on the website yet? I don’t believe I saw it. Is the small engine approved for natural gas generators by chance?

I don’t think so; I heard they’ve been working diligently on their website to better represent everything available. But the fastest, easiest method to answer your natgas question would be to PM Dave; if you just want to order it you can call Mary Jane. Can’t remember if it was this thread, but for my generator Dave recommended their CK-4 5w40 Cold Climate which has a bit of PAO and extra antioxidants due to the intermittent use nature and harsh conditions most generators see.

It's at least 85% of some form of crude derived oil, what's the magic sauce that makes it "restore and protect" or is yet more wank from Valvoline to shoehorn yet another extraneous product on the shelves.
It’s probably great for slowing down the weeping HGs on my 07 EJ253, with all that brightstock. Maybe they stole appropriated Lucas’s formula?🤣
/sarcasm

Real question does the 30w have lower pour point than the 40w?
Best way to compare cold weather performance for start-up between a 5W-30 and 5W-40 or 5W-xx is to look at the spec sheets and compare the CCS viscosity, and the MRV (pumpability) viscosity if available. Not all spec sheets show the pumpability viscosity.

Maybe Iol. 2 Toyotas, a Rav4 and my daily driver is a 2012 Yaris Sedan, been thinking of getting a older model 3 door 1NZ based Yaris coup hatchback as a secondary fun/mod car but manual transmission ones are hard to come by in my area.

My brother traded his oil burning Prius for a 2022 WRX Premium recently in the past month, thank god I don't have to deal with cartridge filters anymore haha.

10 dollars each at fleet pride. Gonna cut open one open and post later. Cross reference to Fram ph3614 which should fit most Toyotas.

These are rated 17 microns. Unfortunately have a nitrile anti drain back valve. Probably not designed for extended drains since these are made for special equipment in construction industry which are rated by the hour. Its quite heavy for a small filter. Probabably a thick can.
