Post a photo of your oil on dipstick (with miles)

HPL No VII 5W-30
More than 14,000 miles on oil.
Fram FE9688 oil filter just put on as per sig
Will be monitoring for consumption on an upcoming trip...

Thank you to @High Performance Lubricants for making such an excellent oil, as well as being outstanding oil company, business, gentlemen, and, dare I say it.. an oil friend. 🛢 🙂 (not "oily!" Although.. May be accurate..)

Engine 100% stone cold checked overnight. First pull best shot:

Looks to be at the exact best level to be when all the way cold. You always use the reading on the lower side of the dipstick...

12,500 miles HPL 0w30 premium passenger car engine oil.

2018 Subaru Forester FB25 6mt.

Hardly any consumption in 3500 miles since switching to newer design pcv valve from direct injection fb25. Will post more about this if it stays true.

Ford fiesta 2005 (mk6) 1.6 Duratec/sigma 16v engine with 240.000kms total, converted to lpg fuel injection when it had 201.000kms on the odometer. Dipstick photo is after 5000kms on Valvoline FE 5w30 oil (ford 913D spec) after it burned 405 liters of LPG and 12 liter of gasoline. One photo of dipstick wiped and one wet. Engine hot. You can barely see the oil, lpg burns so darn clean...if you try hard enough you can see after playing with the angle of the light that the level is slightly under max level.this car has super clean oil on dipstick after every OCI for about 3000kms, but after the conversion it stays like that for 10000kms+

Pic taken while oil warm, about a half hour after shutdown. Level doesn't seem to change cold to hot on this car, which is actually a bit strange.
My daughter's 2015 CRV Touring is exactly the same. I check it every time she comes by but it has never used any oil. Warm, cold, hot, whatever, it's right where it was the day I put it in.

Checked on the 10th in the evening . Temp was 67 .

Honda is 60(H) / 40(C) on average . Oil / filter change was 5/10/23 . Both oil filters are w/o wire mesh .

'18 ACCENT is 70(H) / 30(C) on average . Oil / Filter change on 5/12/23 .

6 years.... Honda GC160 on pushmower. Maybe 4 gallons of gas through it.

no it's not 3x overfull, just the angle it was just at before pulling dipstick.

Every year I'm about to change it, and it looks like this. I just leave it.

Here is 2004 Ford Taurus after sitting for 3 hours and "cold"
140798 miles on the car
Subtract of 0 mile on oil was 132,127
See sig for miles on oil so that's... 140,798 minus 132,127 miles for miles on oil

@ZeeYou said one should wait "15 minutes" before checking the level hot?

For the SRM5, reading the dipstick requires a shaman, a totem pole, a mask and a ritualistic rain dance. For the Taurus, the level doesn't seem to change at all hot to cold...

Here's Taurus at about 12 minutes after spirited driving. First pic is not wiped 2nd pic is wiped. Probably about 140 or so more miles on it since yesterday
