After many nights of reading on this site i have been trying to decide if mobil-1 5w30 or m1-5w20 is the better choice for my 2002 ford focus with a 2.0 spi motor at 50,000 miles! After studying the viscosity chart(I forgot who posted it) It seems like the 5w30 would be the better choice. The protect about the same in freezing temps but the 30wt seems better up in the 70 to 90deg. rage. What do you all think. PLEASE HELP,THIS IS REALLY DRIVING ME NUTS

Thanks everyone

I drive a Focus with a Zetec.
I suggest you use whatever XW-30 you like.
Don't sweat it.
In your climate I would rather use 0w-30.
Even though I'm in a much warmer weather I will use 0w-30 GC (Castrol Syntec made in Germany) during my next oil change.
Great, proven oil.
It is on sale at $3.99 per qt at your local AutoZone.
Go buy it and never look back.
