My zaino towels were made in the USA, in fact, at one point I found the manufacturer and bought some more direct.

Check carefully. Made in the USA is a very strict certification to be able to put on a product.

But the Zaino towels now are most definitely not made in the USA. Not that it would make much difference. I'd trust my Costco Microfibers made in Korea over cotton towels no matter where they're made. To me quality is quality and microfiber definitely trumps cotton when it comes to waxing and polishing.

Yeah I see that it is stated different now. I'll have to find the manufacturer's site, as even there they wee stated to be us made, back in the day.

The way I look at it, if nothing touches the paint it won't get scratched or marred. Touchless wash may not clean it all but at least it won't add any new scratches. And if you could dry it via leaf blower or driving it on the highway, you avoid towel induced marring. Now granted that you will not have a flawless presentation but at least the underlying paint and the clearcoat is in still exact condition as it was when it was last cleaned and protected.

I don't go through "touch less" washes, but they all still seem to have some whirligig thing that touches the car... Is there such thing as a true touch less mout there?

There absolutely is a true touchless car wash. These use only jets of water to clean the car.

If you look at the various images you see only water being sprayed and no brushes spinning around touching the car. Having relatives in New Jersey I definitely know they're all over the place there and popular during the winter months when road salt/sand plus whirling car wash brushes pretty much means ruined paint.

Yeah I just never go to car washes, and the ones I see from the road have moving parts. I'd hate to learn the hard way...

The only things that touch my car at the local touchless are the water and cleaning solutions. No brushes, mops, rollers, whirlygigs, or anything else.

It does NOT clean as well as a good hand wash.

LMAO I was looking at new trucks the other day and thought the same thing. Luckily I just buy white and the mud, dirt, and scratch's hide most of the orange peel.

Swirls? For a daily driver who cares as long as it looks good from 10-20 feet. Your going to get your Civic perfect and some idiot will ram a shopping cart into it, or something. Now a show car...
