My Random Thoughts on Keeping a Car Running for a while

Modern fuel injected engines dont need and its actually detrimental to have long warm ups at idle. Even more pronounced with GDI engines. Best warm up practice is to hop in fire the engine let it run 15 to 20 seconds then start driving moderately until it warms up. Moderate driving warms the engine up faster so the engine spends less time operating outside of ideal operating temperature.
