Before I discovered Stabil, which was many, many years ago, I did run my equipment dry prior to winter storage.

How did you equipment restart/run the next season with fresh fuel?(after sitting for several months)...My experience is stated above!

The first start of the season is fine as long as you use Stabil.

I run dry if I can remember to do so. When Ive forgotten, havent had issues with it. I do run a bit of stabilizer and generally a lubricity add in the fuel, so that may help keep surfaces coated.

Never had a problem in 36 years of owning them.

Premium gas can still be had without 10% ethanol around here. So I buy that, add stabil and MMO and always use the gas before 6 months (rotate through cars).

Never had an issue and everything starts on first pull.
