Left this in 4 a second oci in wife’s ‘19 grand caravan.
Little wavy but not bad.
10 miles short of the 20k it’s supposed to be rated.4

This proof in a sense that these Cartridge Oil Filters can go 20,000 miles to a certain extent. I have a friend with a Pentastar V6 where this type of oil filter is mounted at the top of the engine. He was doing 5000-mile OCI's and not changing the Oil Filter since he did not have a Socket set to take the Oil Filter cap off. He comes over 1 day and tells me that his Oil Filter has been on there for 20,000 miles, he says I have an Oil Filter in the car, do you have a Socket set, I said Yes, it was a quick off with the old oil filter, and on with the new 1

I should have saved the Oil Filter, it looked like an Oil Filter that had only been on there for a normal OCI. To be fair, this person used a good synthetic Oil, Pablo would be happy, and even though his car has the Oil Life Monitor Thing, he still did 5000 Mile OCI's. He told me he had another neighbor with the same engine and by doing the OLM Thing, he could go 7500 Miles on his OCI.

Filter housing is mounted the same in the grand caravan. Usually go about 10k miles before the change oil message. Lota highway miles is maybe why.

The the 2 OCIs with this filter were with Supertech Advanced full synthetic and a qt of Rislone each OCI.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but it appears that the filter is fairly loaded. If you take a butter knife and lightly scrape the surface of the element, do you get anything on the knife? Picture?

Yeah it does seem to be pretty loaded.
The texture is mostly sludgy, slightly gritty feeling rubbing between 2 fingers.

My opinion from seeing similar results after running HPL and seeing your loaded filter is that 20k miles is way too many. My Durango showed evidence that the 20k filter was bypassing, which allowed lots of abrasive carbon to circulate around the engine. If you take a look at the wear metals in the UOA, you'll see what I'm describing.

Yep, I’m running the XG11665 for 10k-12k - so easy to change …

I didn’t save oil for a UOA but I do think I’ll just change the filter every OCI now as I do agree that the filter has reached or nearly reached its load capacity.

Drive around with your oil pressure in display - FWIW - my Pentastar is in the high volume stage (up to 80 psi) way more than my GM engines are …
I think these filters get beat on from that …
