I think it's an 8481. It's not entirely legible on the filter and their website doesn't show this style, with flat rubber ends. Maybe it was old stock at the time? When I was at the store purchasing it in November or December, they had 4 filters to choose from. This style in regular and XL and the other style with black plastic-molded caps, also in regular and XL. Anyway...
Made in China.
Cellulose. Nylon-web backed.
500 miles on filter. 112200 miles on engine, M272 3.5L V6 in a 2007 Sprinter.
5W40 QS Euro + HPL EC30.
This is the second filter with HPL EC30.
The first 500 miles were on the old filter with a quart of EC30 added before the oil change. I did an oil change 200 miles ago putting in 1.5qt EC30 & 8.5qt QS Euro 5W40.
see Mahle OX345/7 cartridge cut open
I bought this filter in case the engine was releasing a lot of carbon on account of the EC30. Seeing very little carbon after the first 500 miles in the old filter, I pulled this after 500 miles. While I knew it wasn't getting loaded-up, I also knew it wasn't going to be doing as good a job filtering contaminates as the full synthetic Mahle. I replaced it with a Mahle.
There were a half-dozen very small specks of carbon. A couple made it into the photos. Except for those, the filter looked brand-new, which it practically was.
