Mobil esp 0w30 v Pup 5w30

Doubtful. It doesn’t have the same approvals. Technically it’s still oil but if you ran it in a Mercedes that calls for one of the approvals in ESP it wouldn’t work out too well in the long run.
While probably so, I would think supertech 5w30 would be just fine to run a thousand miles one way at highway speeds. If it can’t hold up to that they should pull it off the shelves

Any 5W30 off the shelf at Walmart should be able to handle that

Edit: between those two I would choose ESP

1,000 mostly highway miles in June in a Honda CRV and we still have people on this board that don’t think Supertech synthetic would be just fine?

Let’s get another CRV and tear them both down and mic everything out. Put them back together. One car gets Supertech, the other gets Pennzoil UP and, why not, get a third CRV. That one gets Mobil. Head out for the 1,000 mile trip in each car. When you get back, tear them all down and measure them up.

Seriously doubt any difference.

In a CRV under these circumstances yes I agree it would be fine and just as good as the others in this low stress situation. I should clarify that I meant that Supertech isn’t going to do the same job as ESP under all circumstances because ESP has way more approvals. I clearly would not recommend Supertech in a vehicle that requires one of the approvals that ESP carries.

Understood and I agree.

M1 0W-30 ESP is what I use and recommend between the two.

Here are a two VOAs (2022 version vs. 2023):

Two different products, one mid tier, one upper tier.
You have an engine that is a well known fuel diluter and google reveals many unnatural deaths.
Sell it, or Supertech. 😐
