Will be headed to Colorado this June about a thousand mile one-way trip speeds on the highway are 80-85 consistently. Was just curious what oil would protect better. I'm thinking mobil, but would pup have any issues protecting at least just as good. I will be driving my Honda CRV with the tgdi engine and wanted to make sure it had the best coverage. Typically I do use mobil but got pup on sale and currently this is all I have..

I would choose the ESP 0w30, it will give you the extra benefit if you see extremely cold weather during this interval plus it just has more approvals over PUP as well

Edit: I reread the original post and realized that the trip is not until June so obviously you won’t see extremely cold weather. But I still stand behind my recommendation (the ESPs 3.5 HTHS is better for the hot weather)

I heard ESP has esters in it as long as it hasn't been reformulated, if so that seems to automatically make the formulation better

From the 2 oils you listed, I would use PUP 5w30, but M1 0w30 is plenty good. If I was driving my own vehicle, I would use 10w30. Haha
