Mobil 1 ESP X3 0W40

This oil is suitable for diesel engine with DPF?
Yes, it carries multiple approvals that are suitable for that application. Generally mid-SAPS= diesel passenger car with dpf oil, although they're now being spec'd for gasoline cars, but when they first hit the market until gasoline became low sulfur mid-SAPS oil was mostly just for diesels.

I wish I could find it in the US, specs are even better than FS.
autozone $9.99 qt. audi dealer mid 8s

marginally higher VI and most likely VII load.

it is relatively poor value for money but with the vehicles it’s supposed to go in being broke is simply not an option.

That sku correlates to the online listing to the Corvette oil online, has mobil discontinued the Corvette sku and replaced it with ESP X3? Also you can technically get it for just under $8/qt at AZ because the last time I checked the ESP oils work on the oil change bundles so you get 5qts of ESP and an Extended life STP Filter for $37.99

the original european esp is dead and gone

presumably corvette esp formula was just a rebadge job and all existing stock was depleted. note the nascar logo and us quart packaging

Drove to both my local Auto Zone's neither carry it. Available 10 miles away in a different city. I may try this in the future.

Spoke in person with M1 engineers today and the M1 0w40 ESP is being renamed to M1 Supercar.

It will be an orange label so immediately identifiable.

Its being said the oil was specifically developed for the c8 Corvette and the name change is to avoid confusion that was caused by it being called Emissions System Protection erroneously leading people to believe it is just a less protective product than 0w40 European Car that has lower phosphorus.

Good stuff, but I believe @TiGeo was referring to ESP X3, not the regular ESP Formula, which is the one being renamed. I believe people are getting these confused.

@Krieg Thanks for the link! This is indeed hard to find so might need to be ordered online. Unless I can also find it at AZ, who apparently has it near me (Part # 124798). Will check and report back.

That 3.8 HTHS and 14.1 viscosity @100C looks very enticing.

Found it at AZ with two different labels. Not sure which is newer - I'm assuming the first one? Also only the second one has the batch code.

The bottom one with the honeycomb grill on it it's the newer style. The other one probably does have a lot code in it but a lot of them are stamped off center and you have to get them in the right light to be able to see them in the middle of text somewhere on the label.

Your going to see Jaguar, 2017 and up with 0-20 Group 8 GPF oil, and Volvo, and others. Pay attention to the spec. It is a very different ACEA spec, than the normal. We use Liquimolly, two or three versions for our service. And, Yes, it is just like a DPF, no different. Needs a low SAPS oil to keep the substrate from plugging.
