Mobil 1 ESP - 12,000 miles / 1 year

Looks like 0w-20 got the least number of boxes checked in the first category. All others tie for the win.
0w-20 got no checks in the second category with 5w-30 the clear winner.
In the requirements category 0w-20 is the winner. 0w-40 and 5w-30 tie for losers.

What does it mean? Not sure.

Now to compare this to manufacturers OCI’s. When Chevy came out with the Gen V truck engine they dropped the typical OCI from 10,000 miles to 8,000 miles. The data was submitted by Bittogers. They also went from 6 quarts to 8 quarts. Mind you it was also when they went from 5w30 to 0w20. The new Gen V-8’s will be out next year and we can see if the combined relaxation from CAFE will tell us something interesting.

Mobil put a mileage number on the Mobil 1 ESP oils. 12,000 miles / 1 year

Thanks a lot for the info!
But why do we need it as a separate thread? (post #39)

I find it interesting that they don't mention their 0W-20 does not, apparently, meet the MB-Approval 229.72 or BMW Longlife-17 FE+. They, for obvious reasons, only mention approvals that one of their ESP oils *do* meet.

Because I felt like it needed its own thread. The drain interval of ESP has come into question now and then. Mobil 1 finally put a number on it. It's what I expected.

The sump volume should be considered for these oil change interval values.
Tooslick's formula:

OCI = (C*)(ave mpg)(sump in qts)(cubic inches/Hp)

You have misstated the formula. Check variable 3, sump in qts again. sump capacity in qts/5 qts
