Local Gas up to 10% Ethanol: bad for 2 cycle?

The literature specifically states DO NOT run E-85 fuel. It does not mention E-10.

This past summer I bought an Echo Trimmer, but do not recall what the manual said about E-85, but probably not good for it either.



Just about every piece of gasoline powered OPE says not to run E85. There is no problem with E-10.

I say E10 isn't going to hurt a thing as long as it is fresh and I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night!
 
E10 is perfectly fine.

Most of the equipment we work on and parts we buy at work are approved for use with up to 10% ethanol. It is E85 that the manufacturers specifically say to avoid. We even have E85 test kits for warranty reasons (they rarely get used).
