So I got 'leftover' stock with the LFR I recieved (maybe that's why this was so much less $$ than everyone else?)??

Danny did mention that Jeg's is no longer a dealer either when I spoke with him.

the bottles you got from cb performance is the real deal..lat just does not sell to them anymore....i got mine from rancho...geers also had it for 11.95...the guy who answered the phone sounded like an idiot tone of his voice was not nice....i don't do bussiness with those kind of people...geers is on the list of lat where to buy list.

hi trooper,22.9 mpg/city before now 23.4 so far in the lincoln and raptor i was getting 16.8 and now 17.2 in the city..mercury pending..engines very quiet and smooth...cooler..iam very pleased!! i only used 6 oz. prob an inc.140 ppm of moly and 115 ppm of zinc my guess...whether has anything to do with the additive i do feel that iam using a product that will be a super good friction modifier and anti wear that the big shots use nhra. its the best of the best!!....i still use 6 oz. of lubegard bio engine prot.thats all the additives i use in my oil...

Where did you work at at the Mopar Mile High Nationals? I was up there, who knows maybe even saw you. Also when you say pro stock, are you meaning cars and motorcycles? I know a couple of pro stock motorcycles are sponsored by LAT.

I might have to try their additive out (I have known about it for a few years but have never tried it). I bought a couple bottles of their oil from Jegs (when they carried it) and will post the VOAs I had done for gits and shiggles.

Hi Tommie- Do you use the both products together? Sounds like an interesting mix of two good products!

Thanks! I'll be giving this product a try at some point!

Interesting that the OP is using LAT and LG together? dmp, what's your feel regarding LG in the 88 with Edge? Just curious, will you be posting a UOA?

Hard to tell Jim. This OCI was made up of many, many, short trips, lots of idling, a fuel injector cleaning via the rail, and Kreen added to the gas. I was trying to once again eliminate a stumble and hot restart surge I've had for many years. I've come to the determination that the hot restart issue is is not the injectors, a vacuum leak, a sensor, computer, etc., and is something I have to live with. Re-confirmed by 4 mechanics now! Then I had some clutch issues, and thought I needed a clutch. Good thing I spoke with my brother regarding that, we checked out the floor around the clucth master cylinder and just like the other standard tranny E series Fords I owned the floor was flexing when stepping on the clutch. We made up a plate, beefed up the floor, and eliminated that problem w/o changing the clutch. I also think the stumble is gone as a result, something no one would have guessed!!!!!!!! The hot restart surge is here to stay! Long story short a UOA this time around would be a complete waste of $$$.

As a side note Bio Tech Engine Protectant did help build oil pressure faster through my pre-luber this winter, so I would say it helps with cold starts in extremely cold climates. Sorry no science to back that up though, only the time it takes the pre-luber to build oil pressure in a stone cold engine is reduced with BTEP.

Interesting, I may look for the same issue with my Civic, the floor flexing with clutch pedal depressed that is. I know I need some servicing on the clutch though(probably replacement) as in hot weather there is disc slip at WOT(VTEC engages obviously) and it's intermittently occurring so far, at night there is less of this occurrence. On top of a clutch kit, I may need to replace the ISB(the bearing with the little metallic balls?) I think it's on the other side of the flywheel, perhaps in relation to the pilot bearing, but transmission side more so. Anyway.

These cars, Honda/Acura from the 90s and possibly late 80s as well, are known to have issues at times with the main fuel relay needing a replacement or re-soldering at least. I had a strange experience recently that would take some time to explain, if interested I can PM a link to another forum where I'm discussing this.

On the not of something like MoS2, I heard someone theorize it's possible to affect racing apps under extreme load by reducing friction 'too' much. Then again, those engines are designed to have the least amount of 'bottleneck' by the oil. Minimal amount of protection, maximum amount of HP. You know the scenario.

PS: Not to get, OT any more, but if you could PM some info about what a pre-luber is; as I've heard about it(such as the car with SSO for 40,000 miles in the UOA threads using a pre-luber with by-pass filtration setup), but haven't had that explained. Thank you.

I can't tell you much about Hondas all I did was sell them. I can tell you the floor flexing issue in the Ford E & F series trucks with a hydraulic clutch can cause problems like clutch chatter, grinding going into reverse, and difficulty going into the gears when things get hot. I never experienced clutch slip though. The floor flex throws out the entire "geometry" of the clutch and can cause it not to fully release. NOT GOOD! Funny thing is if you are not aware of the issue with the older Fords and throw a new clutch in the vehicle you WILL have the same problems!

Sorry we've gone OT. Jim PM me if you like............

Is this fairly new?

Their oils seem great, but are up in that Torco SR5/Motul 300V/Silkolene/etc. price range ($15.00-$25.00/qt., ltr.).

Do you know what the pre-yeild ppm levels are of this stuff, as it sits in the can/bottle, so I can compare it to the Torco MPZ/SEP??

I noticed they make two products, the standard and one for diesel. Why wouldn't the standard formula work in a small diesel engine with a 3.5qt sump?

Thanks, Dan said it's the same product. Only difference is diesel's having large sump volumes, thus the 1qt container
