Is Wolfs Head oil considered an off brand

Wolf's Head was a big seller in Michigan back in the 70's when I was a kid working at Murray's Auto Parts store. I recall my high school auto shop teacher (shout out to Mr. Zittleman) was a big fan of it. For some reason he thought that crude oil from Pennsylvania was superior to crude from Texas or any other area.

Because it was. Natural high viscosity to stay in grade. Green color would identify it.

wolfs head,kendall at one time may have had roots to current American refining group thats still in operation today,they produce refined base stock for other companys,
