Is this alloy repairable?

If you had said I could get a whole, entire running Spark for $400, maybe. But a $400 rim for a car that probably cost $4k to manufacture is just ludicrous.

That is an easy to weld fix, and then blend smooth.

Matching that metallic powder coat = impossible

I scored 4 near new Ford Expedition wheels with decent Michelins for $75 from someone that had to have shiny new 20's or 22's or something like that -

Sometimes........................ buying a full set of 4 is cheaper than buying ONE wheel!!!

Dealer wanted around $500 for a wheel for my grandma's 14' Grand Caravan a couple years ago. Went on www.car-part.com and got one from a junk yard already pulled and in perfect shape for $100.

Found the entry point. The tire goes to the scrap heap.

That's a great website to avoid the dealer.

Straightener Wheel Repair said it was not too bad being put of round and they are in the process of painting it.
Will post pic later.

Amazing! Purchased another General RT43 from TireRack. This is week 26th and the DOT tire date code says Sumter,SC plant 1619. Pretty fresh.

^^HA!

I just called them this morning for a quote on a curb rash repair for one of my Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 aftermarket performance wheels, but I can get a new replacement wheel for $232.00, shipped to my door, so will probably go that route instead.

But they do excellent work, and will keep them in mind for future reference!

My Toyota OE was $440.

TireRack installer German Auto Specialists Plymouth Meeting,Pa just did the Hunter Force balance. I asked to check the repaired wheel and Force Matching for the lowest possible force. The General RT43 tire has been sitting vertical for at least 6 days. Nick showed me the results: the wheel run-out range: 0.014" to 0.026". Kudos to the other Nick@Straighteners Wheel Repair, No weights were needed. He said he tried 3 times and there there was no Force reading. Is something amiss?

Is this possible?

To the ones stating to weld a wheel to repair it, wheels repaired by welding do not pass state inspection. I guess if your state doesn't have vehicle inspections, it doesn't matter?
