Initial observation:
Doesn't tell you anything about metal wear, Si, etc.
From what I read, it measures the additive. No idea if the method is accurate.
Cool idea, but I want more data!

Dennis, the OLMs that I am aware of (Honda and GM) take mileage, temperature, engine revs and fuel consumed into effect, maybe more but they don't sense anything in the oil.

Mercedes was using (maybe still are) a system that used the conductivity to help determine oil life.

The GM and Honda systems are cheap (and effective). The sensors and computer were already in the car. It's mostly a software and display problem which amortized of a few million cars is peanuts per car.
