I need the best penetrating oil

Like everything , there is no " best " . Every suggestion is based on what has worked for that particular person .

I found the absolute best to be Aero Kroil. Why? Two reasons, both related to salt water corrosion. It saved me an expensive Penn fishing reel with a screw that was corroded in place. It took weeks for the Kroil to soak in, but eventually it did. But I now have an "oldy-but-good" reel that would cost over $150 to replace with equal quality. Ditto for a nut on the suspension on my truck. Argue all you want, but this is my go-to. Stick around salt water for a while, you'll soon find out what works.

Kinda, but there are literal tests for this, and Ferrosol came out on top.

Regardless, yes, most people will post what they last had best success with, until they try the next thing.

I've wondered if we credit the last product we try when the bolt loosens when it might be everything else we tried did a little part?

Thankfully I moved from Rustelvania where a hissing wrench is mandatory for exhaust work to Aridzona where we try not to get dusty under the car and exhausts can last forever. ;)

This thread started in 2007 🤣

I have to say the best I have found over the years is Kimball Midwest Penetrating Oil. Not cheap but def. worth it.
