Hyundai oem vs Fram

I went to change the oil on our 2024 Kia Seltos SX today and noticed that the Fram filter I purchased doesn't look exactly like the filter that I removed. The oem filter has a plastic cage on the bottom that I guess can allow the drain plug to rotate around the filter housing as it's tightened. The oem filter is slightly taller also because of the plastic cage.
Does anyone know if the Fram is okay to use or should I wait and pick up a filter at the dealer tomorrow?

The filter you bought is what most post 2022 Hyundais use. Wife's 1.6T (2025) takes that filter. Your OEM should look similar with the appendage and all. Does your filter housing have a place for the appendage such as the kit shown in this picture?

Yes, the filter housing is made for those parts. The old oem filter had that as does the new Fram.

On a Hyundai/Kia product, I not only would use the H/K filter, I would document the heck out of doing so.
Same with everything involved in the OC process.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I picked up a filter from our Kia dealer this morning and completed the oil change.
