Healthy eating....or so we thought....

Garlic has certain beni's for certain people.
Apparently for everyone! 😁 As I posted in another thread:

I Googled “health benefits of garlic” and in short order found 73 diseases, ailments, or conditions that garlic is purported to cure, prevent, treat, or support, ranging from nine different cancers to erectile dysfunction! This was not a surprise because if a study, any study, finds that garlic has, say, an anti-inflammatory component, no matter how small, food and supplement marketers will jump on it and connect garlic with every ailment that has ever been “associated” with inflammation.

My a1c is 5.1

I had mine tested last year during a physical. I'm not a diabetic but my wife is a type 1 diabetic.

My A1C was 5.0. I'm 6'2" 164 pounds.

Incorrect

Tell us how butter is unhealthy, because well you are saying it is, correct?
Hasn't it, and isn't it still raising LDL like most saturated fats?

Not being cheeky, just curious on your take.

wow that seems tiny, im six foot one, at 230 i could see my ribs and hip bones. i couldnt imagine me being 164 pounds at that height. all bodies are different tho.

I have narrow hips, a slim ribcage, high calves/skinny ankles measuring 8-3/4". Buying clothes that fit me sucks.

Dude…your legs are 38!? 😂 I hope you’ve never had to travel for work internationally. Economy seats on planes and subcompact rentals would be torture for someone your height!
You shop at a western shop because the cut is all about being in the saddle. I don't ride horses but it's easy to find the cut i want while wearing a boot plus the best brand on the market. I am 6'1 at 170lbs

Hmmmm, I bet that would lend well to jeans that also fit great for motorcycling. 🤔

Sadly, I’ve never seen a “western” shop here in my neck of the woods (North Alabama). I know there is one down near Troy. I’ll have to do some research in my area and see if I can maybe find something like you’re showing. I bet the seated fit is great.

its amazing people think its unhealthy, seed oils are poison. Im al about animal fats, and protein. Margarine was always about making live stock fat, ive never heard of it as healthier than butter
Wrong about margarine. Margarine is lubricating oil made to look like it is edible. A lot of why margarine ever hit the market was because butter was very hard to get and very expensive during the 30s. As you say, seed oils are poison and margarine is made with seed oils.

I have seen graphs of the increase in use of seed oils and the increase in heart attacks.

It can a little bit, but not as much as the public has been told. It's what led us here, "low fat diets" and margarine (truly poisonous trans-fats) and yes even deadly heat and solvent extracted (oxidized) seed oils combined with way way WAY too much of our dietary calories from carbohydrates. Beside that - learning to not be afraid of the boogy man "saturated fat" is really tough for some.

Unfortunately I was raised on Country Crock and I think my mother is still eating that mess. She doubles down on the death wish by using those plastic bowls to store and heat food.

You won't see that stuff, or any of the substitutes in my house.
