We're in the process of getting rid of stuff we either don't need or forgot we have. Sue found some long forgotten trinkets in this old container.

To summarize for you younger folks, the sequence went like this. Butter was bad for you, margarine was a healthier alternative (at the time supposedly), margarine got replaced with this stuff (see pics), and now I think the healthy choice is once again butter.

It's a deal where what's old becomes new again, kind of like how Sue wore Ray Ban sunglasses in the early '70s, only to have people like the Kartrashian's wear them like they discovered them for the first time. Hilarious. Just wait, bell bottomed corduroys will become the next "new" thing to be discovered.

Anyway, look at the ingredients of this slime. I remember using this stuff 30 or 40 years ago. Yuck!

lots of misinformation on whats healthy or NOT even today as $$$$ runs advertizing, gotta look out for yourself!! still a lot of untruthful recommendations based on $$$$ so continual updated research is BEST!!!

Deception. Made 'with' 100% corn oil. That stuff is garbage. Synthetic oil is great for our engines, but not for our bodies. Butter for the win. Specifically Kerrygold butter.

Hope you're doing well.

Yup, gave up on on CC and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, a long time ago. We've been using Pre'sidant or Kerry Gold.

I'd take Lard every time, or Kerrygold. I eat lots of cheese too, which is (also) now good for you.
No, just real butter here.
Or as they say, YOLO.

Sounds like Kerrygold FTW. I'll have Sue buy some.

I don't know or understand in what context or scenario butter was ever "healthy" for you. People determine they are going to consume a thing and then they set about justifying that is is healthy.
The best you can do is stick with plant based "butter" centered around things like coconut oil, palm oil, and cashew milk but you are still probably best to avoid it all together.
Add Olive or Avocado oil to your food if you need fat.

Tell us how butter is unhealthy, because well you are saying it is, correct?

Well a basic formula for butter starts with heavy cream. It's dairy based and has a lot of saturated fat so do you really want me to tell you why saturated fat is bad for you? Among other things saturated fats tend to increase LDL cholesterol which is never a good idea.

Butter should simply be thought of as an additive. You add it to something to enhance the flavor of a thing. There are much more healthy and effective ways to do that namely with herbs and spices.

That is what the experts used to say. Do some updated research.

My brother had a gallon of canola oil he somehow accidentally bought. He asked what it was good for. I told him either to add to diesel or to make soap. I made soap with it.

Only natural oils that can be squeezed out are safe to eat. Seed oils are highly processed and basically are poison.

For what it's worth nobody would say I'm against vegetables but you really need to do some reading on data and science what animal proteins were vilified for my personal Dr. Is starting to believe boy i was wrong.
