If you aren't, go ahead and buy your bottled drinking water which has just about zero regulations on what can be in it. Food for thought...
Shannow came out swinging with the half-truth of tooth damage. Stating "tooth damage" makes it sound like your teeth will rot and fall out, rather than the cosmetic damage that can occur from overexposure to fluoride. He also neglected to mention there is zero risk of dental fluorosis for anyone who has their adult teeth in and that the risk is for those 3mo to age 8.
Another one being that the source for fluoride is toxic waste from the fertilizer industry. While a semi-truthful statement, the source (of some of the fluoride) is a byproduct that is further processed before being used in water treatment.
Then again, it wouldn't make it nearly as interesting or have the same ability to cause alarm if all the facts were presented.
Yep, bottled water is of no better quality and often worse than tap water.
I've seen the test results (in person) of the amount of coliforms, Escherichia and others, that show up in bottled water. When I say in person, I mean looking at the growth in the petri dishes. It varies by brand and source. Some of the worst were the local bottle waters either sourced from a filter at the store or from one of the water companies that play heavily on the fear, paranoia, and ignorance to sell filters and those 5-gal water coolers.
Local tap water where the test took place? Zero bacteria and a guarantee of what else is in the water (EPA and state DNR mandatory testing and yearly water quality reports). In this case low iron and calcium levels. Municipal water supplies should zero levels of coliforms because any presence of them indicates a water quality problem and the presence of them requires reporting to the state DNR (requirements vary by state). Depending on the size of the municipal water supply, some tests will be done in house while the ones requiring more complex equipment are sent to outside labs. Tests are run on a daily basis for pH levels and weekly for fecal-coliforms. Monthly tests are done for levels of other substances as well as a confirmation on the local fecal-coliform tests. Also back in the early 1990s all the water systems in the country had to undergo lead and copper sampling and then establish monitoring programs based on the results. Most of the lead and copper (particularly lead) is actually from the plumbing in the building. That can be remedied by flushing the water for a minute or so in your house if it has set undisturbed in your pipes for more than 24 hours.
As for the Nazi mind control agents in your drinking water:
Quote:
The active ingredient in Prozac is fluoxetine hydrochloride. This is C17H18F3NO•HCl.
Sodium fluoride is NaF.
Fluorosilicic acid is H2SiF6.
Sodium fluorosilicate of fluoride is Na2SiF6.
The three chemicals used for fluoridation are chemically different than the compound used in Prozac.
Now, I'm no chemist, but I remember enough from chemistry classes to understand that the molecular structure of compounds effects their properties and interactions with other biological and non-biological substances.
Just for fun, here is a list of some other common medications containing fluorine (excluding psychotropics):
-Prevacid
-Cipro
-Levaquin
-Diflucan
-Lipitor
-Celebrex
-Advair
-Cloderm
-Avodart
-Aerobid
-Flonase
The Nazi myth is just that. Its primary source is from Charles Perkins who claims someone form IG Farben who also happened to be a Nazi told him.... etc etc. It should also be noted that Perkins makes no reference in his book to the Nazi's using fluoride. He actually states it was an idea floated by the Russian's. The only Nazi connection is that the scientist that (allegedly) told Perkins about this was "prominent in the Nazi movement".
E.H. Bronner whom all the pro-fluoride conspiracy sites make sure to attach Einstein's name to to lend his claims an air of legitimacy was a soap manufacturer.

There's no doubt that the fluoride added to water is a powerful substance. It plays a huge role in cognitive dysfunction and paranoia - and you don't even have to consume it.

Hey Al, I've got a business proposition for you. I'm pretty sure we could get some of the fans and customers of those websites that have been cited as proof to buy some new 100% natural herbal remedies I've been considering bringing to market:
- "Breath-Free" containing "extract of Conium maculatum" as a treatment for respiratory conditions.
- "Coloneeze" to treat irritable bowel syndronmn and "Natur-Doze" as a sleep aid, both fortified with "Banewort root extract".
I can't believe that with all the concern over fluoride we haven't talked about what a first rate killer dihydrogen monoxide is.
